Zanode is a platform-as-a-service (PaaS) that provides cloud hosting infrastructure located in South Africa. Our services include web application hosting, database management, and related developer tools.

3. account registration

To use our services, you must:

Maintain the security of your account credentials
Be at least 18 years old or have parental consent
Accept responsibility for all activities under your account

4. acceptable use

You agree not to use our services to:

Violate any applicable laws or regulations
Infringe on intellectual property rights
Distribute malware, spam, or harmful content
Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems
Host content that is illegal, defamatory, or harmful
Engage in cryptocurrency mining without prior approval

5. payment and billing

All fees are quoted in South African Rand (ZAR). Payment is due monthly in advance. We reserve the right to suspend services for non-payment. Refunds are provided at our discretion and in accordance with South African consumer protection laws.

6. service availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We are not liable for any downtime, data loss, or damages resulting from service interruptions, including those caused by factors beyond our control such as load shedding or network outages.

7. data and backups

While we implement regular backup procedures, you are responsible for maintaining your own backups of critical data. We are not liable for any data loss.

8. intellectual property

You retain ownership of all content you upload to our platform. By using our services, you grant us a limited licence to host and serve your content as necessary to provide our services.

9. termination

We may terminate or suspend your account at any time for violation of these terms. You may cancel your account at any time. Upon termination, your data may be deleted after a reasonable retention period.

10. limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by South African law, Zanode shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of our services.

11. governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of South Africa.

12. changes to terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes via email or through our website. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
